Thompson Crowley Masonry has been servicing the North Shore and Danvers area since the 1960's. With Olde Salem village colonial homes and early Danvers homes being constructed in the 1700's. Thompson Crowley's masonry services have been in demand.
Much like the Danvers settlers in the 1600's. Our family came from England in the 1960's. Our grandfather a trained mason learned the use of lime mortar in England and Ireland.
Working on properties in England from the 1400's and 1500's. North Shore Colonial homes built in the 1600's, 1700's and 1800's with foundations constructed with lime, sand , stone and brick were essentially new in comparison.
The use of lime in stone foundation construction is important for it is a lost practice only happening in history and not being taught anywhere today.
Having first hand experience in European masonry and colonial construction we are uniquely fortunate to have generations of experience with stone foundation restoration and professional masonry.
